Department of Information Technology (IT)
The Department of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology was established in the year 2009 and intake of First year, Second Year and Third year is 60. Information technology is a growing field that offers relatively secure positions for those with solid technical skills and at least a bachelors Science & bachelors degree in an IT-related field. The majority of career tracks in IT entail design and operational tasks related to computer hardware components, networks and software applications.
Professionals in the IT field work with businesses and organizations to set up and support viable computer networks that will keep systems efficient and reliable. IT encompasses all hardware and software used in the storing, creation and accessing of information. Examples of technologies that professionals work with are firewalls, databases, media storage devices, networks and the Internet. Through Bachelor of Information Technology students can choose field such as Networking,Database,Web Designing,Web developer,Tester,Project Manager.
IT Club
IT Department has formed an IT Club on the academic year 2016-2017. We had organized IT club inauguration on 23rd July 2016, Saturday for conducting the different activities throughout the year. We have selected 18 students as a members of the IT Club.
Activities
- IT Club has organizing Seminar on Technical Topics.
- PPT Presentation has been conducted for the students related to their subject through which they can also gain some confidence ,loss stage fear and also develop their personality skills.
- Conducting workshop in which they gain practical as well as theory knowledge.
- Competition for students like Tech Quiz competition, Bugs find, Debate, Group Discussion.
- We maintain IT lab for Performing Programming Practicals like C,C++,Java,Dot Net.
- We provide Database management practicals like SQL.
- Their is also an Project for Last Year related on Latest Platform.
- We also conduct Industrial Visit for Students in which they visit an IT Company.
- We also conduct Parents meeting for showing Students Performance.

Eligibility
- Eligibility for the students to join B.Sc in Information Technology is to have Completed XII from Science or Commerce Stream. Only students who have completed their HSC in one attempt and had Maths in HSC are eligible for this Course.
- Students who have completed their Engineering Diploma from any stream are eligible for direct 2nd year entry.
Admission Procedure
For First Year:
- Students should have passed the H.S.C. examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent to H.S.C., for admission to VMDC.
Application for admission to the college must be made on the prescribed printed form. The form must be accompanied by :
- Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate and Original Mark-sheet of the last examination passed, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to the Mumbai University/Maharashtra Board.
- Transfer Certificate / Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, Marksheet Verification from Previous Board, and Mark-sheet of the last examination, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to any other Board / University.
- Students coming from any other Board / University should submit the Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
- Two Passport Size Photographs.

For First Year Admission Along with Admission Form:
- Aadhar Card – 1 Photocopy
- SSC Marksheet – 3 photocopies
- HSC Original Marksheet + 3 Photocopies
- HSC Original Leaving Certificate + 3 Photocopies
- Students who are passing as Private Candidate are required to attach Original Private Candidate Certificate + 2 attested Photo Copies.
- If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to attach along with its Photo copy with admission form.
- Students passing H.S.C. examination from other than Maharashtra State are required to get Transfer Certificate and submit Original copy with Original H.S.C. Mark sheet, Original Migration Certificate and their 2 attested Photo copies. Student are required to do Marksheet Verification from previous Board.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other college
- Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college & Transfer Certificate
- Last year’s Original Mark sheet + 2 attested Photo copies.
- If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to be attached along with its photo copy with the admission form.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other University
- Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college, Transfer Certificate and Marksheet Verification.

Course Outcome
After completing the Information Technology degree, students are able to
